BearViews is ...    

Problem -- waning bar communities - bears are often not bar people -  How do you find out the best bet options for bears - especially when traveling?  How do you meet up with people when traveling?

How we solve it - Directories of bear-related options - with reviews by you the BearViews Community Members.

Our goal is to help support the bear community Commitment to keeping BearViews free, unless we add premium services that greatly add to our costs.

Bear Views is community driven - You determine its contents - You add your opinions.

How are listings and reviews added to BearViews?

Every member can add new listings (items in a category) and reviews.    First search for the listing that you would like to review.  If you cannot find a listing for the thing you want to review, then you add it to the appropriate category.  Once added, then you can review it.  For example, you just went camping at this new bear-friendly campground and you want to tell everyone how great the place is.   You can either SEARCH for the campground or browse the listings under the menu option  BEAR PLACES >> CAMPGROUNDS.     If you find the listing, then add your review.   Can't find the listing? - Just add it in the campgrounds category then add your review.

If you make a mistake or need to update the information - no problem.   Any review you add to BearViews can be edited by you (and only you).   Any listing you add, like for the campground, can be edited by you - unless a BearViews Editor locks the listing.   We can lock a listing when we find out the listing is no longer valid ( such as if the campground were to go out of business ) or if someone else makes a legitimate claims ownership of the listing ( like the manager of the campground).    None of this affects the reviews that have been added to the listing though.

BearViews is all about options and getting together with others your find interesting.   So if you have a strong opinion about something happening in the news - then add a Blog entry.   Just as with reviews - you can always update or delete anything you have posted.

Want to connect with other BearViews members.  No problem.  You can search our member profiles using lots of options to limit the search.  Add them to your friends list.  PM them.  Or use other contact methods on the members profile. 

Keeping BearViews Positive

BearViews is a positive environment for bears and their admirers. That doesn't mean that you can't give a bad review.  Nor does it mean that you can't give a bad review with bitting sarcasm and cutting wit (In fact, we encourage it!)  However, you should not unfairly attack or present derogatory information about a private individual.   Public figures are fair game.

Our conduct rules are simple:

• No Hate Language
• No Spamming
• No Personal Attacks 
• No Kiddie Porn
• No Action, Information, or Image that BearViews management deems harmful to any other person.

We reserve the right to ban people / internet addresses that are responsible for adding negativity to the community. We also reserve the right to delete any listing or review that violate our policies. We will not tolerate kiddie porn and will notify authorities of the origins of any that is posted on this site.

Keeping BearViews Fun!

After the serious rules section, we just want to re-enforce the message that BearViews is a place of fun!   We want your to be provocative, sexy, creative, and fun.

This website is BearViews 1.0 - the first version.   We realize that there are some features that we would like to add - such as most robust member searching.  Let us know your priorities.

If you see information that is out of date or the links in a listing don't work, then click on the listing icon to notify us of the problem so we can take care of it.

We also want BearViews to evolve to meet the evolving needs of the Gay Bear Community.   If you have ideas on how to improve this site, please contact us.   If you have ideas that you think would benefit all the members of the BearViews community, then put it in a Blog! Don't be shy or stingy - share it!
